Meet Sam,
FOUNDER OF IB PREP
Helping ambitious candidates earn internships and full-time offers in Investment Banking.
I know how competitive recruiting works as I’ve navigated it as a candidate, and then subsequently on the other side of the table doing the interviewing.
I began my career in Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York where I interned after my junior year and subsequently returned full-time. As a candidate from a non-core school, Indiana University, I learned firsthand what it takes to stand out in the recruiting process.
After two years as an analyst, I transitioned to Private Equity and Investor Relations at Rhone Capital, Warburg Pincus and TA Associates.
Throughout my career, I realized I am at my best in moments where there is one opportunity to make a lasting impression. Those moments, when preparation, judgement and execution all converge, often determine the trajectory of a career. Helping candidates succeed when stakes are the highest has become the most rewarding part of my work.
“I love finding someone's edge. Every candidate has something that makes them memorable - most just don't know what it is yet. My job is to find it, sharpen it, and build a recruiting strategy around it.”
My Approach
Every successful candidate has a differentiator. My gift is finding it. Through a process of deep listening and strategic discernment, I uncover your unique edge and sharpen it into a compelling professional narrative; one that gives you a distinct advantage in the pursuit of your dream role.
